iOptions Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how iOptions, operated through ScanToToast (collectively, “iOptions,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects information when you use the iOptions mobile application, website, and related services (the “Service”).
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information: your email address and password. We store a one-way password hash rather than your readable password.
- Watch-list information: your account’s saved option watch list, reset time, selected contracts, and associated starting prices.
- Support communications: information you choose to provide if you contact us.
Information collected automatically
- Account and security identifiers: an internal user ID, session-token hashes, a StoreKit app-account token, session creation and last-used times, and related security records.
- Subscription information: subscription product, transaction identifiers, entitlement status, and expiration information made available through Apple. Apple processes your payment information; we do not receive or store your full credit-card or bank-account details.
- Technical records: our hosting provider may record IP address, request time, requested endpoint, response status, and basic device or browser information in security and server logs.
- Service interaction: requests to refresh, view, or reset an account watch list as needed to provide the requested functionality.
Market information is not your financial-account information
iOptions processes public or licensed market information such as stock symbols, option contracts, prices, earnings calendars, and financial news. The Service does not connect to your brokerage account, execute trades, hold customer funds, or collect your brokerage credentials.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- create, authenticate, secure, and maintain your account;
- provide personal watch lists and preserve your selected starting-price baseline;
- verify subscription access, restore purchases, and prevent abuse;
- deliver market monitoring, earnings analysis, and AI-generated recommendations;
- respond to support requests and account-deletion requests;
- detect errors, fraud, security incidents, and misuse; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
We do not sell personal information and do not use personal information for third-party targeted advertising.
3. AI processing and market-data providers
Our server may use OpenAI services to analyze market data and publicly available financial news. Under the current Service design, these AI requests contain market information, stock or option symbols, prices, dates, and analysis instructions; they are not intended to contain your email address, password, Apple payment information, or personal watch-list ownership information.
We also use market-data services, including Tradier or similar providers, to retrieve quotes and option-chain information. These services receive the market symbols needed to answer a quote request. They do not need your iOptions password or Apple payment information.
4. How we disclose information
We may disclose information only as reasonably necessary to:
- Service providers: hosting, database, security, customer-support, market-data, and AI providers that process information for us under applicable contractual or legal protections.
- Apple: to process, verify, restore, and manage App Store subscriptions and transactions.
- Legal and safety purposes: when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, the public, our rights, or the integrity of the Service.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections and notice where required.
We require service providers that receive personal information to protect it consistently with this policy and applicable law.
5. Retention and deletion
We retain account information while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to operate the Service, maintain security, resolve disputes, comply with law, and enforce agreements. Session records expire or are deleted when no longer needed. Server security logs may be retained for a limited operational period. Aggregated or de-identified market-analysis records may be retained when they no longer identify an individual user.
You can delete your iOptions account in the app under Account → Delete Account. Account deletion removes your account, active sessions, and personal watch list from our active database, subject to limited backups, fraud-prevention records, legal holds, and records we must retain by law. Backup copies are removed according to our normal backup-rotation schedule.
Deleting your iOptions account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. Manage or cancel it separately in your Apple Account subscription settings.
6. Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information by using the in-app controls or contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to obtain a copy of information, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, or appeal a privacy decision. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
To manage the subscription, open your device’s Apple Account subscription settings. To revoke access to the Service entirely, delete your account and uninstall the app.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted network connections, password hashing, hashed server session tokens, restricted database access, and Apple Keychain storage for the app’s local session token. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International processing
iOptions and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Those countries may have privacy laws different from the laws where you live. Where required, we use legally recognized safeguards for international transfers.
9. Children
The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate. Users must also meet any higher minimum age required in their jurisdiction to agree to the Terms of Use.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the Service, providers, or law. We will post the updated version with a revised effective date and provide additional notice when required.
